Golden Monkey is one of 918Kiss’s most-played original titles, drawing consistent traffic from Malaysian players since its launch. The game’s appeal lies in its accessible scatter mechanic — only three symbols needed to trigger free spins — paired with a 3× multiplier that activates at maximum Scatter count.
Unlike imported Playtech slots, Golden Monkey is built in-house by the 918Kiss development team, meaning it integrates tightly with the platform’s wallet and bonus system. Your 918Kiss free credit balance is fully usable on this title.
With medium-high volatility, the game rewards patience — session variance is higher than flat-RTP titles, but the bonus round payout potential is disproportionately large relative to the base-game average. Players on our 918Kiss tips page consistently rank it as a top-5 bonus-frequency slot.
The Golden Monkey Scatter activates free spins whenever 3 or more land anywhere on the reels simultaneously. Multiplier strength scales with Scatter count.
Base bonus round activation. Multiplier: 2× on all wins during free spins.
Extended bonus round. Multiplier: 2.5× on all wins. Higher session EV.
Maximum bonus activation. Multiplier: 3× on every winning combination.
Landing 3 or more Golden Monkey Scatter symbols while free spins are active re-triggers the bonus round. Additional free spins are awarded using the same scale above (3 Scatter = +10, 4 Scatter = +15, 5 Scatter = +20). The multiplier applied resets to the new trigger tier. There is no hard cap on re-triggers — players have recorded 40+ consecutive free spins in a single bonus session.

Golden Monkey Scatters do not need to land on a specific payline. Any 3+ Scatter positions across all 5 reels triggers the bonus — they can be on the same reel or spread across different positions. The trigger animation plays automatically.
The game awards your free spins based on the scatter count (10 / 15 / 20) and simultaneously locks in your multiplier for the entire session (2× / 2.5× / 3×). The multiplier applies to every winning combination — base wins, Wild combinations, and payline clusters.
The Golden Monkey Wild symbol becomes an Expanding Wild during free spins — when it lands on reel 3, it expands to fill the entire reel before win evaluation. This significantly increases the frequency of multi-payline wins during the bonus round.
If a re-trigger fires during an active bonus round, the new multiplier tier does not stack on the existing multiplier — it replaces it. A 3× bonus re-triggered by 3 Scatters reverts to 2×. Target 4+ Scatters on re-trigger to maintain or improve multiplier value.
Free spins play at the same bet level active when the bonus triggered. You cannot change bet size during free spins. This means your bet decision before the Scatter lands directly determines all free spin payouts — a key strategic consideration.
Total free spin winnings are summed and credited to your 918Kiss wallet as a single transaction after the final spin resolves. If your session was funded by a free credit promotion, standard rollover terms apply before withdrawal.
Beyond Scatters, two additional special symbols shape Golden Monkey’s payout structure. Here’s how each one behaves in base game and during free spins.
In the base game, the Golden Monkey symbol substitutes for all other symbols except the Scatter. It completes partial winning combinations across all 25 paylines. During free spins, this symbol upgrades to an Expanding Wild — when landed on reel 3, it covers the entire reel and evaluates all affected paylines simultaneously.
The Scatter symbol pays independently of paylines — it pays on total bet regardless of position. Three or more Scatters in a single spin simultaneously award a Scatter payout and activate the free spin bonus round. The Scatter payout is separate from — and in addition to — the free spin total. It cannot be substituted by the Wild.
The Banana is the highest-paying standard symbol in Golden Monkey. Five Bananas on a payline award 500× your line bet — the single highest non-Wild combination in the paytable. During free spins, the Banana symbol’s payout is amplified by the active multiplier, making it the primary target for large free-spin wins.
The Tree is the second-highest standard symbol. It pays 200× line bet for five-of-a-kind. Its frequency of landing is higher than the Banana, making it the backbone of mid-range wins during both the base game and free spin bonus. Five Trees plus an active 3× multiplier during the maximum free spin bonus pays 600× line bet.
All symbol payouts at maximum line bet. Free spin values include the applicable multiplier (2× / 2.5× / 3×) applied on top of these base values.

These are practical bankroll and session management approaches — not guaranteed win methods. All outcomes are determined by a certified RNG.
Because free spins play at your locked bet level, decide your spin value before the session starts and hold it. Increasing your bet mid-session to “chase” a bonus only means uneven session tracking — the RNG assigns Scatters with equal probability at every bet level.
At RM2–RM5 per spin on a RM200 session budget, you get 40–100 spins. With a Scatter appearing roughly every 200 spins on average, a single session rarely guarantees a trigger. A mid-range bet balances spin count with meaningful free-spin payout if triggered.
Some experienced players track 5-Scatter (max) trigger frequency across sessions. While this is not predictive of future spins, it helps gauge whether a session is running above or below expected Scatter distribution. If Scatters have appeared frequently but only as 3-symbol triggers, a 5-Scatter session may not be imminent — manage expectations accordingly.
918Kiss periodically offers free credit promotions to new and returning players. Use free credit sessions on Golden Monkey to observe how the Expanding Wild behaves on reel 3, how multipliers stack, and the average spin count between bonus triggers — before committing real-money sessions.
Closing the 918Kiss app or switching away during an active bonus round on Android can cause the bonus round to complete in the background. Always let free spins finish fully before exiting. Check your 918Kiss account transaction history if any interruption occurs — winnings are still credited.
New players who register on 918Kiss and claim the 450% Welcome Bonus on a RM200 deposit play with RM600 effective balance. Golden Monkey’s bonus round potential is highest when starting with a larger bankroll — more spins means more chances to trigger the 20-spin, 3× multiplier bonus.
If you enjoy Golden Monkey’s scatter mechanic, these titles on 918Kiss offer comparable or higher RTP with active free spin bonus rounds.
